Several hours after the announcement of the new EA Sports FC, FIFA has confirmed that they will be creating a rival game.
FIFA has stated that they will launch new football video games that will be developed with third-party studios and publishers which will allow players to have more choices in the games. The problems between the two companies began with naming rights disagreements and payments, which ultimately led to EA and FIFA parting ways.
FIFA President Gianni Infantino has stated the following:
“I can assure you that the only authentic, real game that has the FIFA name will be the best one available for gamers and football fans. The FIFA name is the only global, original title. FIFA 23, FIFA 24, FIFA 25 and FIFA 26, and so on – the constant is the FIFA name and it will remain forever and remain THE BEST.”
We are sad that the problems between EA and FIFA have led to rivalry, but we are excited to see and play the new games coming from the companies.
