Kerbal Space Program Is Getting Delayed

Kerbal Space Program 2, the game that was supposed to get us closer to space, is now delayed.

Publisher Private Divison and developer Intercept Games have originally planned to release the continuation of Kerbal Space Program but due to reasons that were not quite disclosed to the public, they have delayed Kerbal Space Program 2 to early 2023 for PC. As for consoles, the game will launch sometime after the PC release.

Here is a fragment of the statement Nate Simpson, the creative director, gave:

Kerbal Space Program 2 is coming out on PC in early 2023 and on consoles after that.

We’re creating a game of immense technological complexity. And we’ve assembled a team of passionate, talented people to achieve that goal. But we’ve also set ourselves a very high bar of quality.

The game has to be performant across a wide range of machines. The graphics have to be peerless. The universe has to be rich and interesting to explore.”

Kerbal Space Program 2 was supposed to release on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and Xbox One.

Do you like the original game? How do you feel about space?
