Pokemon Go June 2022 Events

As the hot days are slowly approaching, so does the new Season in Pokemon Go called the Season of GO. Full of hot and summery events, the Season will begin on June 1st, 2022.

To mark a great start to a new PoGo Season, Trainers will have the chance to get to know a new Pokemon called the Gratitude Pokemon named Shaymin. This Mythical Pokemon will appear as a part of the Pokemon GO Fest 2022 kick-off event starting on June 4th, 2022 and ending on June 5th, 2022. If you want to participate, the tickets for the kick-off event are currently available in the in-game shop.

For several months now, the Pokemon Go Community has been asking for a level reducement at which Candy XL is available. For the first time this year, Niantic has listened to their fans and decided to reduce the level so that all Trainers from level 31 and above will be able to get Candy XL.

Filled with many events, this Season will bring us a bunch of them, but the most important ones are Adventure Week and the Pokemon TCG Crossover Event. The Adventure Week event is a fan-favourite, and this year Trainers will be exploring fossils and Rock-Type Pokemon beginning on June 7th, 2022 and ending on June 12th, 2022. While we do not have much information about the Pokemon TCG Crossover Event, we know that it will start on June 16th, 2022, and end on June 30th, 2022. Stay tuned for this one.

Our favourite Legendary Trio (or is it?) will be returning to the game with a schedule, so the first Legendary Pokemon that Trainers can challenge is Kyogre which will be available in Five-Star Raids from June 1st until June 7th, 2022. From June 7th until June 16th, the Raid Boss that will be available in the game will be Groudon, and the last Legendary Pokemon for June is Mewtwo. Beginning June 16th, 2022, This Legendary Pokemon will be in the game until July 1st, and in the period from June 23rd until July 1st, every Mewtwo caught by Trainers will know the Charged Attack Psystrike, while the Mewtwo from June 16th until June 23rd will come with the attack Shadow Ball.

Raid Hour events will be exciting this month, and on June 1st, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. until 7 p.m. local time, the first Pokemon that will be featured is Kyogre. The next Wednesday and the Wednesday after that, which are June 8th and June 15th, the Pokemon featured as a Raid Boss will be Groudon. On June 22nd, Mewtwo with the Charged Attack Shadow Ball will be available for battle, and on the last Wednesday in June, which is June 29th, Mewtwo with Charged Attack Psystrike will be taking the place as a Raid Boss during the Raid Hour event.

The Spotlight Hour event is the one that Trainers are most excited about, and every Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. local time, Trainers have the chance to catch the featured Pokemon and get the perfect form with the perfect moveset, form and stack up on the Candy for future evolution. Starting the month with Nosepass, this Pokemon will be featured as a Spotlight Pokemon at the first Spotlight Hour event in June, which is on June 7th. Together with Nosepass, the bonus that will be active is 2x Candy for catching Pokemon. On June 14th, the Pokemon that will be available is Mantine, and during this day the bonus that will be active is 2x Candy for transferring Pokemon. On June 21st, the Pokemon that will be taking the spotlight is Spinarak, and the bonus that will be available to Trainers is 2x XP for evolving Pokemon. The last Spotlight Hour event which falls on June 28th, 2022, is a secret well kept, and more information will come probably in the upcoming weeks.

As for Mega Raids, there is a very exciting schedule waiting for us Trainers, and beginning on June 1st, 2022 until June 7th, 2022, Mega Steelix will be featured as a Mega Raid Boss. Right after this Mega Pokemon, the Pokemon that will take the place of a Mega Raid Boss is Mega Aerodactyl. This one will be in Mega Raids until June 16th, 2022. From June 16th, 2022 until June 23rd, 2022, the Mega Boss that we will be able to battle is Mega Venusaur, and the closing Mega Pokemon for June is Mega Blastoise, which will be in Mega Raids from June 23rd, 2022 until July 1st, 2022.

The June Research Breakthrough encounter will be Klink.
