Do you remember the feeling when you first saw those cute Pokemon roaming around? That warm and fuzzy feeling when you caught your first Pokemon? What about the time when you caught your favorite Pokemon and told everyone about it? Good times, right? Well, we want to refresh your memories to remind you of the good old days and find out what’s your favorite Pokemon.
The Pokemon franchise focuses on approximately 908 species (fictional) of monsters, and each one has its uniqueness, different skills, and power. Each beast is an eye-catcher to the fans, and we all immediately started to debate with friends which Pokemon is our favorite and why.
Later, the franchise evolved into games, with the first one named Pokemon Green and Pokemon Red released back in February 1996 in Japan. Soon after that, the Pokemon took over the whole world. Coming back to the present, which is in 2022, one of the most popular game-related to Pokemon is Pokemon Go.
The one-of-a-kind Pokemon Go mobile game is part of the Pokemon franchise developed and published by Niantic back in 2016. Niantic and Pokemon Go endured the most difficult moments and managed to satisfy the Pokemon Go community. Pokemon Go has been a huge success, and we think the game will continue to grow in the future.
Since every Pokemon is different from one another, they are divided into regions. In Pokemon Go, the available Regions are Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, Kalos, Alola, Galar, and Hisui.
The Kanto Region has 151 Pokemon available in Pokemon Go, while the Johto Region has 100. The Hoenn Region has 135 Pokemon in Pokemon Go, and the Sinnoh Region has 103 Pokemon. Generation V or Unova Region is in Pokemon Go with 156 Pokemon, and the Kalos Region has only 72 Pokemon. Gen 7 belongs to both Alola and Kanto Regions, and together they have 88 Pokemon, while the Galar and Hisui Regions have approximately 96 Pokemon. Fun right? And a handful of them is still waiting to be released.
