Nintendo Skipping Gamescom 2022

Gamescom will be having some major changes this year in their line-up, which is really unfortunate.

Nintendo has decided that they will not be attending this year’s Gamescom which will take place from August 24th until August 28th and it will adopt a hybrid system, meaning that the event will be available in-person and online.

While we do not know which companies will be attending, it is sad that we will not be seeing Nintendo presenting novelties this year.

Here is a part of Nintendo’s statement:

“Gamescom is a key event in Nintendo’s calendar of events,” the statement reads. “This year, however, after careful consideration, we have decided against participating in Cologne.
Instead, players will be able to try out the games for Nintendo Switch at numerous events throughout Germany.
We look forward to seeing our fans again at many regional events.”
