Rather distant, Fallout 5 will come sometime after Elder Scrolls 6

It seems that we'll have to wait quite a while before we get to play it.

This tease and sort of confirmation of another Fallout Game was rather a disappointment for some of the fans. Knowing that you will not be able to throw looks at what’s supposed to be Fallout 5 is quite painful and somewhat discouraging. If we wait for Fallout 5 to release after The Elder Scroll 6, how many years would that be without a refurbished and exciting gameplay experience in our favorite franchise? But who are we to keep tabs on the developers, right?

A paradigm less likely to be looked into, we do not know how long we will wait since dates have not been mentioned. In an interview with IGN, Bethesda’s Todd Howard stated that Elder Scrolls 6 is in pre-production, and the company will be doing Fallout 5 after.

“Yes, Elder Scrolls 6 is in pre-production and, you know, we’re going to be doing Fallout 5 after that, so our slate’s pretty full going forward for a while. We have some other projects that we look at from time to time as well.”

Todd Howard has once again confirmed that Fallout 5 is part of Bethesda’s DNA, so there must be a sequel, even if it takes years.

Fallout’s really part of our DNA here. We’ve worked with other [developers] from time to time – I can’t say what’s gonna happen. You know, we have a one-pager on Fallout 5, what we want to do.

So with multiple titles such as Starfield, which already faced numerous delays, and The Elder Scrolls 6, we could guess a rough estimate of around 8 to 10 years of no Fallout sequel. Despite the anomalies, are you even excited about this?

I am ANGE1K. I started playing video games a long time ago. In a blink of an eye, I became a hardcore gamer. A couple of years later, I traversed to the professional Counter-Strike 1.6 scene. After the competitive ERA, I managed to find the gaming industry amusing and started working on FGR. 8 years after founding FGR, my mission remains the same. That is to discover secrets within the gaming industry, create guides for all the games I play, and provide you with some important news. Oh, yeah, I post tons of patch notes too. At the time, I play everything that seems reasonable to play, make content about it and help gamers to the best of my abilities. P.S. Last time I counted how many hours I've spent in video games turned out to be 13+ years. And that was a long time ago too. Almost 24/7 in front of PC.
