Halo Infinite’s Co-Op is not releasing today

This surprise, however, cooks up to arrive this week.

Even though Halo Infinite’s beta release of the campaign co-op was expected to come out today, 343 Industries seems not ready to release it just yet. The director of 343 Industries, Brian Jarrard, has come out with an official statement on Twitter, claiming that despite the miss, the feature is still on the way.

Despite the initial expectations, the development team failed to polish it thoroughly and found some issues lingering for which it had to postpone the release.

  1. “The team is still working on our upcoming #HaloInfinite network co-op Insider flight build. While we always said our “target was the week of July 11”, many sites reported it simply as “starting July 11.” Still hoping for this week, but it will not start today.”
  2. “Flighting is fluid as the process entails discovering issues in initial rings and resolving them before expanding to a larger audience. A few issues were discovered in our current flight ring, and the team is working to address.”
  3. “Apologies to folks who expected the flight today – we’re eager to get this into your hands but we also want to ensure it’s a positive and worthwhile flight experience. Still targeting this week but it’s day by day as work continues. Ty for your patience and understanding.”

We were all set to jump into the beta for Halo Infinite‘s co-op mode this week, but it looks like we’ll have one more wait. Previously, this release was estimated to arrive on July 11, sadly becoming oblivion due to difficulties in development. While this initial release is just a step in the right direction, the full launch of the co-op campaign is expected to arrive later this year.
