Update: Trainers, Niantic and Pokemon Go announced compensation bonuses for the Facebook login issue, but unfortunately only Friday Pokemon Go Fest: Seattle ticket holders get compensation. You can learn more here.
Update: Trainers, the Facebook login issue is now fixed. Do you think Niantic should compensate?
Previous Story: Trainers, it looks like there are some issues with Facebook login.
Pokemon Go players are reporting Facebook login issues, and it seems like it’s not the game’s fault, it’s Facebook’s servers. Some players reported that they were booted when in Raid, and lost their Raid Pass.
What’s even more interesting is the fact that Niantic and Pokemon Go announced the Global Challenge and players are not able to access the game. We must complete 15,000,000 Raids, but with the issues, players are not able to join Raids and complete the task.
Pokemon Go players are getting the following message when trying to login in via Facebook:
“App not active: This app is not accessible right now and the app developer is aware of the issue. You will be able to log in when the app is reactivated.”
We reached out to Niantic and Pokemon Go, so fingers crossed for a fix ASAP. Until then, we recommend trying Google login.
