Escape From Tarkov’s next Hideout expansion is adding a Gym where players can strengthen their PMCs

Players will be able to maintain and strengthen physical skills of PMCs without joining live raids.

Escape From Tarkov is getting a Gym alongside new hideout areas. This feature will arrive as a part of the already existing Hideout, where players will be able to do various physical activities and strengthen their characters without participating in a live raid. As revealed by Battlestate Games’ COO, Nikita, the upcoming Gym component will be a Hideout addition that will be introduced in some upcoming patches.

While the feature sounds too good to be true, such an ability should bear a diminishing return mechanic which will prevent players from abusing it. This is how Battlestate Games already combats the in-game skill boost, which means it already has the algorithm for it. The more you do it, the less effective it will be. The clip for it can be found below:

Years ago, players could just stack backpacks and rigs in their secure container and abuse them until they get maximum strength and endurance, as well as other skills upgraded. That’s how far Escape From Tarkov’s advanced from back then. It’s good to see Escape From Tarkov advancing forward, and there is a lot in store for the whole community. Even though Streets of Tarkov is everyone’s desire, there are still other things that could make this shooter a lot more beautiful.

After the competitive ERA, I managed to find the gaming industry amusing and started working on FGR. 8 years after founding FGR, my mission remains the same. That is to discover secrets within the gaming industry, create guides for all the games I play, and provide you with some important news. Oh, yeah, I post tons of patch notes too. At the time, I play everything that seems reasonable to play, make content about it and help gamers to the best of my abilities. P.S. Last time I counted how many hours I've spent in video games turned out to be 13+ years. And that was a long time ago too. Almost 24/7 in front of PC.
