Trainers, the Bug Out event has started in Pokemon Go and a new Timed Research focusing on catching Bug-type Pokemon tasks is now available for all players.
The Bug Out event is a new event that runs from August 10, 2022, at 10 AM, to August 16, 2022, at 8 PM local time featuring new Pokemon, new Mega Evolution, new Shiny Pokemon, Raid Bosses, Collection Challenge, and a Timed Research.
The Bug Out Catch Challenge Timed Research has three steps, each featuring different tasks, Pokemon encounters, and useful rewards.

Bug Out Catch Challenge Step 1/3
- Catch 25 Bug-type Pokemon: 25 Poke Ball
- Walk 2km: Beedrill
- Make 15 Nice Throws: 20 Great Ball
- Make 10 Great Throws: 10 Ultra Ball
- Make 5 Curveball Throws: 10 Pinap Berry
- Use 10 berries to help catch Pokemon: Combee
- Rewards: Shedinja, 1 Lure Module, and 2500 XP
Bug Out Catch Challenge Step 2/3
- Catch 25 Bug-type Pokemon: 25 Poke Ball
- Hatch an Egg: 3 Golden Razz Berry
- Evolve 2 Bug-type Pokemon: Grubbin
- Make 10 Great Throws: 20 Great Ball
- Catch 10 different species of Bug-type Pokemon: 50 Mega Beedrill Energy
- Take snapshots of 5 different wild Pokemon: Venipede
- Rewards: Pinsir, 1000 Stardust, and 2500 XP
Bug Out Catch Challenge Step 3/3
- Claim Reward x6: Caterpie, Wurmple, Weedle, and 3000 XP
- Rewards: 50 Mega Scizor Energy, and Scyther
