Modern Warfare 2 will feature a Tarkov-like game mode

The World Premiere of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 went through, and the one thing everyone wants to know about is the all-new sandbox Extraction-based game mode. Named DMZ, the game mode is an all-new Sandbox experience, which already sounds similar to what Escape From Tarkov offers. However, with a dub to be on a much larger scale.

DMZ

A new extraction-based game mode named DMZ will also be present in the game. We do not know if this is connected to the “Raids” reveal, which is going to arrive after the release of Modern Warfare 2. Players will get the option to choose a map, loot up, combat various well-trained AI, and extract when necessary. We do not know how it would differ from the authentic Modern Warfare 2 Multiplayer game mode, but it’s supposed to offer a slightly different and hardcore gameplay experience.

In this game mode, players will get to define their own “win” condition. They will get the option to infiltrate Al Mazra and tackle highly defended POIs by some advanced AI, search for high-value loot, and extract whenever they want. Other human players will also be present, so players should be aware of their vicinity. Infil, exfil, and start anew.

Trickery begone

Don’t get bamboozled! Remember when EA promised a similar game mode for BF2042 named Hazard Zone? The game mode plummeted so hard that Battlefield 2042 had to remove it. Hopefully, this won’t be the case.
