Pokemon Go Test Your Mettle Might Introduce Two New Ultra Beasts

Trainers, the next event in Pokemon Go starts this weekend and according to rumors, it will feature Steel-type Pokemon, two new Ultra Beasts, and most likely new shiny forms.

The Test Your Mettle is an upcoming event in Pokemon Go and players will have a chance to enjoy all features and bonuses starting Friday, September 16, 2022, until Wednesday, September 21, 2022. At the moment of writing, Niantic and Pokemon Go didn’t share any details about the event, except the start and end date, so it’s up to us to start guessing what we might see during the Test Your Mettle event.

Now, let’s get started with all the rumors and speculations circling online. Please have in mind that the following are just rumors and we still wait on the official announcement.

The Test Your Mettle event runs from September 16, 2022, to September 21, 2022. It is said that this event will be focusing on Steel-type Pokemon, different Pokemon will be appearing in Raids and we expect to see a new Mega Raid Boss as well – most likely Mega Aggron.

As per recent datamine, two Ultra Beasts Celesteela and Kartana’s moves got an update, which means that these two Ultra Beasts could make their Pokemon Go debut during the event.

Now, we come to the most interesting part, the Shiny part. Rumors suggest that we might see one of the following Shiny Pokemon:

  • Shiny Drilbur or
  • Shiny Pawniard
