Trainers, the first Spotlight Hour for October 2022 starts today, and you will have a chance to catch Purrloin and earn 2x XP for evolving Pokemon. Unfortunately, Purrloin’s shiny form is not available in Pokemon Go and Purrloin cannot be shiny during the Spotlight Hour.
October 2022 introduces four Spotlight Hours in Pokemon Go. That means that players can participate in four different Spotlight Hour events this month, catch the featured Spotlight Hour Pokemon, and earn different bonuses for each Spotlight hour event. Please have in mind that not all Spotlight Hour Pokemon can be shiny during the event.
The first event in October brings Purrloin and 2x Candy for evolving Pokemon Pokemon. Today, the Spotlight Hour event runs from 6 PM to 7 PM local time and this time players around the globe will have a chance to catch Purrloin and enjoy the bonus.

- Hunter, October 11, 2022, from 6-7 PM local time. 2x Stardust for catching Pokemon. Shiny Haunter is not available
- Misdreavus, October 18, 2022, from 6-7 PM local time. 2x XP for catching Pokemon. Misdreavus can be shiny
- Shuppet, October 25, 2022, from 6-7 PM local time. 2x XP for evolving Pokemon. Buddy surprise incoming
