Pokemon Go Elite Raid New Raid Level is Coming

Update: Trainers, Niantic and Pokemon Go announced the new Elite Raids. They revealed more details about the new Elite Raids and how they work, so here is everything you should know.

What are Elite Raids in Pokemon Go?

  • Elite Raids are a new, challenging variety of Raid Battles. They appear from special Raid Eggs that take 24 hours to hatch. Once the Raid Egg has hatched a Raid Boss appears for 30 minutes – but take note that Elite Raid Bosses can only be battled in-person. Gather up your friends and prepare for an epic confrontation
  • Defeat Hoopa Unbound, and you’ll earn an opportunity to catch it
  • Remember, Trainers will not be able to participate in Elite Raids using Remote Raid Passes

Note: Elite Raids will be available in Pokemon Go starting on October 16, 2022, at 11 AM, 2 PM, and 5 PM local time.

Previous Story: Trainers, the previous month we reported a text discovered in the Pokemon Go GM file hinting at a new Raid level Extended Egg Raid. Now, according to a recent datamine, the new Raid level is called Elite Raids.

The new Raid level was discovered back in August 2022 by the world’s greatest Pokemon Go miners and it looks like Niantic and Pokemon Go are slowly pushing the Elite Raids in the GM file. There are not many details about the upcoming Elite Raids, and here is what we know so far.

What we know so far is the name of the new Raid level – Elite Raids, and that these Raids will have a twister effect. We are not sure what that means at the moment, and we will reveal more details soon.

Pokemon Go Elite Raids Expectations

  • New Raid Level
  • It may be pay-to-play Raid
  • It may have a longer Raid Time
  • Fingers crossed for Mega Legendary/Mythical Pokemon Raid Level – I know we already have Mega Legendary Raids, but this new Rad could separate them
  • It might be an EX Raid rework
  • There will most definitely be an Elite Raid Pass
