Pokemon Go Lead Global Community Manager Confirms that Elite Raids are Going to be on EX Gyms

Trainers, Niantic and Pokemon Go announced a new type of Raids in the game called Elite Raids. These Raids are a new, challenging variety of Raid Battles and according to the Community Manager for Pokemon Go, Elite Raids are going to be only on EX Raid Gyms.

The new Elite Raids in Pokemon Go are a big thing and the first Pokemon to appear in these Raids is Hoopa Unbound. Hoopa Unbound will hatch from Mysterious Raid Eggs with 24-hour timers and players will have a chance to battle and catch Hoopa Unbound starting October 16, 2022, at 11 AM, 2 PM, or 5 PM local time. Hoopa Unbound can only be battled in person and you can’t use Remote Raid Passes to participate in the Elite Raids.

Now, according to Kelsey Desrosiers, the Lead Global Community Manager at Niantic and Pokemon Go, Elite Raids are going to be only on EX Gyms.

This means that EX Raids are more than expected at some point, and we are curious to find out more.
