Pokemon Go Should Stop With Surprises That Will Not Happen

Here we are, yet again.

This is probably the millionth time that Niantic announces something, and moments after that backs out of it. The latest “surprise” is Zorua. Everyone was excited to see a new Pokemon, but unfortunately, that is not going to happen due to a bug, as Niantic stated. Now many are furious (understandably) about why would Niantic do something like this. We and they have a completely different definition of what the word surprise means.

First off, we all know that there are Trainers from all over the world, which means that we all experience those said “surprises” in different time zones, different parts of the day and in different settings. Some of us can have some time to prepare for the imminent event, while others have little to no time. And they miss the big events. Some even do not have any clue that a surprise is about to happen.

On the other hand, if that surprise does not as planned (the current one with Zorua), Trainers will be very angry and frustrated. Especially the ones that have found out moments ago and tried to reschedule everything so that they can participate in the event (or surprise). The good thing is that some events get fixed immediately, but others, like the arrival of Zorua, require to be rescheduled for a later date.

There are many, and I mean many reasons why surprises should not be happening in Pokemon Go. Not that they are a problem, it is just that there are so many things that actively prevent a successful surprise, such as time zones.

What do you think about this? Let’s discuss this in the comments below.
