Pokemon Go Zorua Debut, How to Get Zorua in Pokemon Go

Update October 28, 2022: Trainers, Zorua is back in Pokemon Go and many players are wondering where Zorua spawns and how to get one. Well, we decided to find out more info, and luckily we now have more details about Zorua and its availability.

Zorua made its Pokemon Go during the Shuppet Spotlight Hour, but due to a bug, Niantic and Pokemon Go decided to remove it temporarily from the game, and now it’s available again. They made an official announcement this time confirming that Zorua is now appearing worldwide in Pokemon Go.

Zorua is now available in the wild, spawning as disguised Buddy. It spawns randomly and has random IVs. It shows up as your Buddy while walking with daily incense. Also, you don’t need to play or interact in any way with your Buddy this time. Now, if you are wondering how many Zorua you catch, the answer is more than one. Yes, this is not a “one and done” thing, and reports say some players got si Zorua in five minutes.

Have you seen Zorua yet? Or maybe you’ve already caught one?

Update: Trainers, Zorua is no longer available to encounter. Niantic and Pokemon Go discovered a bug and said they want to fix it before releasing Zorua worldwide. We will keep you updated.

Previous Story: Trainers, just as we thought, Zorua is now available in the game and can be caught after today’s Spotlight Hour.

Trainers, the last Spotlight Hour for October 2022 goes live today, October 25, 2022, featuring Shuppet, and at the end of the Spotlight Hour event, you will have a surprise, and you just make sure to have your Buddy with you.

The Shuppet Spotlight Hour starts today, October 25, 2022, and Niantic and Pokemon Go started teasing a new Pokemon release, and just as we expected, Zorua is now available in the game. So how to get Zorua?

To get Zorua in Pokemon Go you must wait for the Spotlight Hour and only then you will be able to catch Zorua. At the beginning of the Spotlight Hour event, which starts today, October 25, 2022, from 6-7 PM featuring Shuppet, your current Buddy, will start to appear in large numbers on the map. When you catch it, it transforms into Zorua. It doesn’t matter what Pokemon you have as your current Buddy, it can be Legendary Pokemon, Mega Evolutions, etc, and Zorua will still spawn on the map. Pro tip: Have Mega Evolved Pokemon, Houndoom, or Gyarados for Dark-type to get extra candy.

Note: You need to be active with your Buddy for the first and last 5 minites of the Spotlight Hour.

Make sure to participate in today’s Spotlight Hour from 6 PM to 7 PM local time, and get yourself a Zorua. Oh, and I forgot to mention, Shiny Zorua is not available.

  1. Niantic has announced that there has been issues with zorua in other areas of the world where it keeps the stats of the pokemon caught, so until such a time that they fix this, this will no longer be happening during shuppet spotlight hour.
