Pokemon Go Team Go Rocket Takeover Event Details

Well, well, well. The main suspects of the latest crimes that took place in Pokemon Go have appeared, and (not) to our surprise, the menaces are Team Go Rocket.

Believe it or not, they will be taking over the game through the upcoming event named Team Go Rocket Takeover, which will take place from November 14th, 2022, until November 17th, 2022.

The Pokemon that needs to be saved from Giovanni’s claws is Mewtwo. Poor Mewtwo, right? Well, if you are up to saving the strongest Pokemon ever, you will go through a new Special Research story that will give you a Super Rocket Radar, a device that is used to get an encounter with Giovanni, Team Go Rocket’s Boss.  You have until December 1st, 2022, to do anything and take Mewtwo to a safe place.

Giovanni will not come alone though. There are always his Grunts to do his dirty work, and there will also be the Team Go Rocket Leaders named Sierra, Cliff and Arlo. Besides, not only Mewtwo needs saving. The Pokemon that have been hypnotized to turn to the evil side are the following:

  • Shadow Alolan Diglett
  • Shadow Onix
  • Shadow Natu
  • Shadow Wailmer
  • Shadow Golett

Throughout the whole Team Go Rocket takeover event, the bonuses that will be active are the following:

  • Team Go Rocket will be appearing more frequently at PokeStops and in balloons
  • Using a Charged TM will allow Trainers to make their Shadow Pokemon forget the Charged Attack Frustration

In 12km Eggs, also known as Strange Eggs, the Pokemon that will be hatching are :

  • Sandile
  • Pawniard
  • Vullaby
  • Pancham
  • Salandit
  • Larvitar
  • Absol
  • Skorupi
  • Scraggy
  • Deino
  • Skrelp

Lastly, a special Field Research task with a Mysterious Component as a reward will be available during the Team Go Rocket takeover event.

Easy peasy, lemon squeezy. Let’s defeat these pesky little weasels together.
