Pokemon Go Tour Hoenn Las Vegas Event Official Breakdown

Pokemon Go is known for its huge surprises and events, and this upcoming event is the epitome of fun, rewards and many, many Pokemon and friends.

Titled Pokemon Go Tour Hoenn – Las Vegas, the location of this big event will be Sunset Park, beginning February 18th, 2023, and ending February 19th, 2023. The time of when the event starts and ends is 10:00 a.m. until 6 p.m. PST. As it is explained in a brief paragraph, the Pokemon that we will be seeing the most are from the Hoenn region of Pokemon Ruby and Pokemon Sapphire.

Regarding tickets, if you already know that you will be participating in the Pokemon Go Tour Hoenn – Las Vegas event, you can buy the ticket at a discounted price (until December 31st, 2022) of $25. If you want, you can purchase two tickets or a one-day ticket for $30 with a second-day add-on. As a new feature, there will be add-ons, and they are the following:

  • Raid Lover ($15) – Up to 18 free Raid Passes through spinning Photo Discs at Gyms, an additional 5,000 XP from completed Raids, six additional Candy awarded for catching Pokemon in five-star Raids and three additional Candy XL awarded for catching Pokemon in five-star Raids
  • Egg-thusiast ($15) – 1/4 Egg Hatch Distance (unstackable with other bonuses), 3x Hatch XP, 3x Hatch Candy, 3x Hatch Stardust and increased chance of getting 10km Eggs from spinning PokeStops and Photo Discs at Gyms.
  • Extra Day Add-On-Saturday/Extra Day Add-On-Sunday ($25) – After selecting Saturday or Sunday, you can purchase an add-on to enhance the experience of the other day. The bonuses that will be getting are the following: An increased chance of encountering Shiny Pokemon, up to six Special Trades daily within the park, 1/2 Stardust cost for trades within the park, 1/2 Hatch Distance, up to nine daily Raid Passes by spinning Photo Discs at Gyms, a frequent appearance by Team GO Rocket, Incense lasting up to 90 minutes, increased chances of obtaining Spooky Scramble and Energy Boos Field Research tasks, access to the Timed Research: GO for a Spin twice (once per day)

*Timed Research: Go for a Spin features encounters with Spinda.

*Keep in mind that you will have to choose either the Ruby or Sapphire Team, in which you will stay until the event ends.

Teaming up with Team GO Rocket? Is that really happening? Yes, this is actually happening. The ticket holders of the Pokemon Go Tour: Hoenn – Las Vegas will be treated to an exclusive adventure with Team Go Rocket Leaders, where we will finally see which side they are on.

Now for the goodies that ticket holders will be having during this fun and exciting event. Having a promising start with an increased chance of encountering Shiny Pokemon from the Hoenn region (in-person event), we will see the debut of Shiny Jirachi and hopefully complete our Hoenn Pokedex (which will for sure level up that dopamine).

The next surprise (and we promise that it is a good one) is the appearance of both Groudon and Kyogre, a Primal Surge Field Research granting encounters with either Primal Groudon or Primal Kyogre. While we are on the Research topic, there will be a shorter Masterwork Research titled Masterwork Research: Wish Granted and a longer global Masterwork Research. The shorter Masterwork Research will give you a once-in-a-lifetime encounter with Shiny Jirachi. How fun!

*The ones that decide to get the shorter Masterwork Research can not get the longer, global Masterwork Research.

We have mentioned above that you will be picking between Team Ruby and Team Sapphire and wondered, what is that all about? Well, there will be a sea vs. earth clash, where Trainers (ticket-holders) must choose which side they are on. Depending on which Team you pick, it will mildly change the in-person Pokemon encounters.

Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre will be the Primal Raid Bosses, while the Five-Star Raid Bosses will be Normal Forme Deoxys, Attack Forme Deoxys, Defense Forme Deoxys and Speed Forme Deoxys.
