Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is free to play this weekend

Infinity Ward has spoken! This weekend get ready for some intense combat this weekend, as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is inviting players to experience its multiplayer gameplay from December 15th through the 19th with a variety of free game modes, including Team Deathmatch, Hardpoint, Domination, and Kill Confirmed.

A savior for those who do not own the Multiplayer edition of the game, giving them a chance to increase their weapon mastery without purchasing the game. The only thing that would separate the players from the multiplayer client is a chunky download, which in the end, will be compensated with a free boost of all the weapons. Modern Warfare 2 will be the pinnacle of shooting action for the next four days, completely free. The event begins on Thursday and runs until Monday at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET.

Infinity Ward has unleashed an action-packed adventure with the launch of its first season in Modern Warfare 2. Players can take on a variety of thrilling experiences, including a Rocket League mode where competitors confront each other while driving ATVs and tackling objectives across a football field.

With plenty of iconic maps accessible at players’ hands and the ability to bolster weapon levels for free, this event is expected to slap a massive influx of players.
