Pokemon Go Scatterbug, Spewpa, and Vivillon Debut

It is now official dear Trainers, Scatterbug, Spewpa and Vivillon are coming to us in Pokemon Go.

Announced by Niantic, Scatterbug and its evolution line are finally making their debut in Pokemon Go, and to be fair, we needed a bit of fun in the game, and Vivillon is just the right Pokemon to do that.

Vivillon, Vivillon. This name is literally everywhere where the fun is, but what is that all about? First off, the most interesting fact about Vivillon is its patterns. This Pokemon has multiple patterns (eighteen to be exact) and each one of them is wildly unique.

Now that we have mentioned Vivillon and its patterns, Scatterbug, which is the primary Pokemon (first in the evolution line) will be available to encounter when Trainers collect and pin Postcards from different regions. Since there are many patterns, Niantic has made sure to include a new medal called Vivillon Collector Medal. Each time you get a Postcard and pin it, you make progress towards the medal which is oh-so-important to obtain every Vivillon pattern there is.

Each Vivillon pattern can be obtained through pinning Postcards received from friends from all over the world, and if you get a Scatterbug from a different region, then you can get the Vivillon pattern (for that specific region) through evolving Scatterbug.

Now that everything might be somewhat clear, here are Vivillon’s habitats:

  • Archipelago
  • Continental
  • Elegant
  • Garden
  • High Plains
  • Icy Snow
  • Jungle
  • Marine
  • Meadow
  • Modern
  • Monsoon
  • Ocean
  • Polar
  • River
  • Sandstorm
  • Savanna
  • Sun
  • Tundra

Finally, a new Pokemon. An interesting one while we are at it.

What is your opinion on this Pokemon? How do you like this debut?
