Something Extraordinary Research Quest Storyline

Hey there, %PLAYERNAME%!

I have an exciting discovery to share with you today. Have you heard of the Legendary Pokémon Cobalion, Terrakion, and Virizion?

Well, it looks like they’ve been challenging Trainers in Raid Battles recently!

Coming face-to-face with any Legendary Pokémon is cause to celebrate, but I’m extra intrigued this time.

Why, you ask? Well, Spark said he saw something peculiar along the waterfront while he was taking pictures earlier – a Pokémon running across the water’s surface!

But the photos he captured are, ah… Let’s just say it’s hard to tell what exactly is in them.

Do you think this could be connected to the appearance of those Legendary Pokémon?

This calls for more research. How about you document your findings with some GO Snapshots? We might be on the trail of something extraordinary!

Thank you, %PLAYERNAME%. Your research will help us dive a bit deeper into what’s currently going on.

Since the Legendary Pokémon we discussed previously have been testing Trainers’ skills in raids, I consulted with Candela, the authority on all things related to battle.

She thinks the current situation points to the Colt Pokémon, Keldeo, making an appearance.

Candela is a bona fide expert on Keldeo, you see.

She said that Cobalion, Terrakion, and Virizion taught this Pokémon how to fight and that it dashes across the world, seeking opportunities to further its training.

No wonder Candela is such a big fan! It’s clear that Keldeo has the drive to improve itself and the passion to accomplish whatever it sets its mind to doing.

Why don’t we take some inspiration from Keldeo and do some training? With such a battle-hardened Pokémon around, we can’t be too prepared.

Wonderful work, %PLAYERNAME%!

While you were battling away, Blanche and I had a moment to dig into some texts and learn more about Keldeo.

Evidently, Keldeo is considered part of a powerful group of Pokémon from the Unova region that includes Cobalion, Terrakion, and Virizion.

This confirms a link between their appearance and Spark’s sighting near the waterfront.

It’s said that Keldeo must survive harsh battles and fully develop the horn on its forehead before its true power will awaken.

Hm. I wonder what this “true power” might be. Let’s investigate the relationship between power and Pokémon by…well, powering up and evolving some Pokémon!

It’s all starting to come together. I think it’s now safe to say our mysterious visitor is indeed the Mythical Pokémon Keldeo!

Blanche and I found more information, too. For starters, Keldeo actually has two forms, one of which is called its “Ordinary Form.”

What’s more, Keldeo can glide across water by blasting water from its hooves – and it excels at using leg moves while battling!

This corroborates both Spark’s sighting and Candela’s knowledge of this Pokémon.

I think I’ll contact them and propose a trip to the waterfront to see if we can gather more information firsthand. Stay tuned!

That was quite the field trip, %PLAYERNAME%, but I bear good news!

The team leaders and I came across fresh Keldeo tracks near the waterfall in Spark’s picture!

Spark, Blanche, and Candela all wanted to the be first to meet the Mythical Pokémon, so they’re battling it out to decide who gets the honor.

And then there’s you. Given what a great Pokémon Trainer you are, I reckon you and Keldeo could achieve some truly marvelous feats together.

Not to undermine our friends, but why don’t you head out with your buddy to see if you can encounter it first?

Amazing, %PLAYERNAME%! You’ve caught the Mythical Pokémon Keldeo!

What an incredible discovery. Thank you for all your help as we followed those clues to their extraordinary end.

Whoa! I can feel Keldeo’s determination to train from here. This Pokémon’s full of drive, just like you!

Don’t keep it waiting – feel free to give yourselves a workout by taking Keldeo to battle other Trainers!

Welcome back, %PLAYERNAME%. I can tell that Keldeo enjoyed getting stronger with you.

The team leaders and I are so proud of all the work you’re doing to grow as a Trainer. This only adds to the list of your accomplishments.

And with enough time and training, perhaps we’ll be able to see Keldeo’s other form one day. I’ll keep a blank page in my research notebook ready – no, several pages!

Haha. I suppose that marks the end of this adventure, but you’ll be hearing from me soon, %PLAYERNAME%. Until then, let’s GO!”

The Something Extraordinary Special Research is definitely worth it and we recommend getting the ticket.
