Pokemon Go Winter Holiday 2022 Part 1 Mega Glalie Debut

The merriest season of them all is right around the corner, so it is Pokemon Go’s time to shine and bring us many gifts and new Pokemon.

This year, Trainers will be enjoying a two-part event titled Winter Holiday. Yes, you read that right, we will be having two festivities in the winter-holiday style. Starting December 15th, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. Trainers will be able to battle against a new Mega Pokemon, and that is Mega Glalie. This new Mega Pokemon will be making its debut through Mega Raids, and the best of them all: its Shiny form will be available too.

Other festivities that Trainers will have in Winter Holiday 2022 Part 1 is the event-exclusive Timed Research. Available to Trainers for US$5.00, Trainers will be rewarded an event-themed avatar pose, two Incubators, one Incense, Abomasnow Mega Energy and several event-themed Pokemon encounters. Beware, this Timed Research has an expiration date, which is December 31st, 2022, at 8:00 p.m. local time. The ticket for the special Timed Research will be available at the in-game shop starting December 15th, 2022, until December 30, 2022.

As mentioned, the Winter Holiday 2022 Part 1 event will start on December 15th, 2022, and end on December 23rd, 2022. During these few days, the event bonuses that will be active are:

  • 50% more XP for winning Raid Battles
  • Trainers can store up to 40 Gifts until the end of the event

The wild encounters that will be seen more in Pokemon Go during the Winter Holiday 2022 Part 1 event are :

  • Pikachu wearing a Winter Carnival outfit (Shiny form available)
  • Swinub (Shiny form available)
  • Delibird (Shiny form available)
  • Snorunt (Shiny form available)
  • Spheal wearing a holiday outfit (Shiny form available)
  • Snover (Shiny form available)
  • Vanillite
  • Cubchoo (Shiny form available)
  • Bergmite (debut of its Shiny form)
  • Alolan Vulpix (Shiny form available)
  • Stantler wearing a holiday outfit (Shiny form available)
  • Cryogonal

As we all know, every event has its special Pokemon that hatch from certain Eggs. For the Winter Holiday 2022, Part 1 event the Pokemon that will be hatching from 7km Eggs are:

  • Sneasel (Shiny form available)
  • Smoochum (Shiny form available)
  • Bergmite (debut of its Shiny form)
  • Crabrawler
  • Amaura

Raids are always special to Trainers. It is very important to have good Raid Bosses, and for the Winter Holiday 2022 Part 1 event the Raid Bosses are:

One-Star Raids:

  • Pikachu wearing a Winter Carnival Outfit (Shiny form available)
  • Alolan Vulpix (Shiny form available)
  • Spheal wearing a holiday outfit (Shiny form available)
  • Galarian Darumaka (Shiny form available)
  • Bergmite (debut of its Shiny form)

Three-Star Raids:

  • Cloyster
  • Lapras (Shiny form available)
  • Stantler wearing a Holiday Outfit (Shiny form available)
  • Glaceon wearing an Undersea Holiday Outfit (Shiny form available)

Five-Star Raids:

  • Cobalion (Shiny form available) – If caught between December 15th, 2022, and December 23rd, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. local time, it will know the Sacred Sword attack (Trainer Battles – 60 power; Gyms and Raids – 55 power).

Mega Raids:

  • Mega Glalie (Shiny form available)

The Field Research task encounters for the Winter Holiday 2022 Part 1 event will be:

  • Pikachu wearing a Winter Carnival Outfit (Shiny form available)
  • Alolan Vulpix (Shiny form available)
  • Seel (Shiny form available)
  • Shellder (Shiny form available)
  • Jynx (Shiny form available)
  • Stantler wearing a Holiday Outfit (Shiny form available)
  • Spheal wearing a Holiday Outfit (Shiny form available)
  • Crabrawler
  • Sneasel (Shiny form available)
  • Glaceon wearing an Undersea Holiday Outfit (Shiny form available)

Plus, you might get Abomasnow Mega Energy for completing specific Field Research tasks.

Last but not least, there will be event-themed avatar items and stickers available in the in-game shop, from PokeStops (if you spin the Disc) and from opening Gifts.
