Pokemon Go Primal Rumblings Start Date, Shiny Pokemon, Bonuses and More

Trainers, we have an exciting event ahead of us, and we will be seeing many of our favourite Pokemon, including a green Legendary Beast.

The event that will be happening in Pokemon Go from February 22nd to February 24th, 2023, will feature several bonuses, wild Pokemon, and the Pokemon called Rayquaza. Along with Rayquaza, there will be Primal Kyogre and Primal Groudon available during the Primal Rumblings event.

*Pokemon Go Tour: Hoenn – Las Vegas attendees can get an encounter with Primal Kyogre and Primal Groudon before Pokemon Go Tour: Hoenn – Global.

As wild encounters, during the whole event, the Pokemon that will be appearing more often are:

  • Treecko (plus Shiny)
  • Torchic (plus Shiny)
  • Mudkip (plus Shiny)
  • Wurmple (plus Shiny)
  • Whismur (plus Shiny)
  • Numel (plus Shiny)
  • Barboach (plus Shiny)
  • Grovyle
  • Combusken
  • Marshtomp
  • Absol (plus Shiny)

In One-star Raids, the Pokemon that will be available for a battle are:

  • Treecko (plus Shiny)
  • Torchic (plus Shiny)
  • Mudkip (plus Shiny)

In Three-star Raids, the Pokemon available will be:

  • Grovyle
  • Combusken
  • Marshtomp

The Five-star Raid Boss during the whole Primal Rumblings event will be the green beast named Rayquaza (plus Shiny), while the Mega Raid Bosses will be Latias and Latios (available in Shiny forms).

If you get a Rayquaza between February 22nd, 2023, and March 1st, 2023, you will get a Rayquaza that knows the Charged Attack Breaking Swipe (50 power in Trainer Battles; Gyms and Raids – 35 power).

Special Field Research tasks will be available, with a focus on the Hoenn Region in Pokemon Go. Last but not least, there will be a Primal Rumblings Collection Challenge (evolution-themed) that will give you Ultra Balls and a Rocket Radar upon completion.

Oh, do not worry about bonuses, as Niantic always thinks of one. During the whole Primal Rumblings event, the bonus that will be active is:

  • 2x XP for evolving Pokemon.
