Pokemon Go Catch Mastery Event Details

The shortest month is hours away from leaving us until next year, which means that a brand new month, a new Pokemon Go season is hours away from arriving in Pokemon Go.

Starting March 5th, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. and finishing at 8:00 p.m. Trainers will be able to enjoy a brand new event titled Catch Mastery, whose focus is on Fighting-type Pokemon and their fighting skills.

The featured Pokemon will be Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan, which will also appear more frequently in the wild during the Catch Mastery event. The Field Research Task encounter will be Hitmontop, and the event-exclusive tasks will be about PokeBall accuracy.

From 7km Eggs, the Pokemon that will be having a bigger chance of hatching from is Tyrogue, and the bonuses that will be active during the whole Catch Mastery event are:

  • Increased chance of encountering Shiny Hitmonlee, Shiny Hitmonchan and Shiny Hitmontop.
  • 2x XP for successfully catching Pokemon with Nice Throws, Great Throws, Excellent Throws and Curveball Throws.

As always, a Pokemon Go event would not be an event if there isn’t a Timed Research, so for the Catch Mastery event the featured Timed Research will be about PokeBall throwing accuracy, and finishing the 10 sets of Research Tasks will grant you a whopping 40 encounters with Hitmontop.

The Hitmontop, Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan fans will be having the time of their lives during the Catch Mastery event, that is for sure.

What do you think about the Catch Mastery event? What would you like to add or remove?
