Ditto is known as the Transform Pokemon, meaning that this Pokemon can take any Pokemon’s form. To add to that, Ditto copies the victim Pokemon’s CP and entire moveset. Imagine how hard it would be to catch Ditto in a mobile game.
Niantic sometimes is generous enough to make catching Ditto easier, but they change the disguises, the odds, and everything else tied with Ditto every month. As we are about to enter a new month, it is time to talk about what are the chances, what is the disguise pool of Ditto in March 2023.
Ditto is a true headache, which nothing can help to cure it. For March 2023, the chance of encountering a Ditto in the wild is roughly 3%, which is very low in the Pokemon Go world. One interesting fact about Ditto in Pokemon Go is its shiny form. Shiny Ditto is permaboosed, which means that you have a 1/64 chance of encountering a Shiny Ditto.
There is a disguise pool designed for Ditto, and the list we are about to share with you is changeable every month. So for March 2023, Ditto can appear as the following Pokemon.

Ditto will start to transform into different Pokemon in the wild starting on March 21, 2023.
Here is a list of Pokemon that Ditto can transform into at the end of this month:
- Diglett can be shiny
- Grimer can be shiny
- Snubbull can be shiny
- Corphish can be shiny
- Starly can be shiny
- Roggenrola can be shiny
- Tympole can be shiny
- Litleo can be shiny
We have to mention that if any of these Pokemon have their Shiny form available in the game, and you happen to encounter that, there is no chance of it turning into Ditto. On the other hand, you have a slight chance of getting a Shiny Ditto.
To sum it up, the chances of encountering Ditto are very, very low, below 3%, while Shiny Ditto is currently permaboosed, with a chance of 1/64.
