Elden Ring’s First Anniversary Infographic Reveals 5.9 Billion Boss Attempts and 9 Billion In-Game Deaths

Bandai Namco has recently released an infographic celebrating the first anniversary of FromSoftware‘s Elden Ring. The infographic revealed some interesting statistics from millions of players, including 5.9 billion attempts on the game’s bosses and over nine billion in-game deaths.

According to it, Malenia, Blade of Miquella, was the most attempted boss, with 329 million tries. The second and third most attempted bosses were Margit, the Fell Omen, and the Limgrave Tree Sentinel. The infographic also revealed that enemies and NPCs were responsible for 69 percent of the in-game deaths, with falling accounting for 14 percent of deaths. It’s unsurprising to see failing as a common cause of death in many games.

The multiplayer aspect of Elden Ring was also detailed. Over one billion summons were recorded, with 88 percent being in co-op. The top spells cast were Rock Sling, Crystal Torrent, Glintstone Pebble, Greatblade Phalanx, and Rotten Breath. The most acquired Incantations were Blessing of the Erdtree, Bestial Sling, Golden Vow, The Flame of Frenzy, and Bestial Vitality.

It’s impressive that Elden Ring has won numerous Game of the Year awards and has crossed 20 million in digital sales and worldwide shipments. The confirmation of an expansion, Shadow of the Erdtree, is exciting news for game fans.
