Final Fantasy 16 Has Gone Gold

The highly anticipated Final Fantasy 16 is set for a June 22nd release on the PlayStation 5, as the game has officially gone gold. Square Enix recently confirmed the news via the official Final Fantasy 16 Twitter account, ensuring fans that there will be no further delays.

Going gold in the gaming industry means the game is complete and ready to be sent to manufacturers for mass production. The development team may still work on minor bug fixes or polishes, but the game is now ready for distribution.

Fans have been eagerly awaiting the next installment in the storied franchise, and Final Fantasy 16 looks poised to continue the series’ reputation as one of the biggest franchises in gaming. Recent reveals, including a new trailer and a PAX East panel, showcased the game’s world, exploration gameplay, Eikon battles, combat, and much more.

A demo for Final Fantasy 16 is expected to be released roughly two weeks before the game’s official launch, allowing players to carry over their save data into the full game. Additionally, Square Enix has expressed plans to release a PC version of the game, although it is unlikely to launch anytime soon after the PS5 version.
