Forspoken: In Tanta We Trust DLC Set to Launch on May 26

Square Enix is gearing up to launch the much-anticipated expansion for its open-world action RPG, Forspoken. Titled In Tanta We Trust, the downloadable content (DLC) will hit shelves worldwide on May 26, according to Gematsu. Although Forspoken received lackluster sales and reviews, Square Enix wants to rekindle interest with this prequel DLC.

Set 25 years before the base game events, In Tanta We Trust follows protagonist Frey as a mysterious voice guides her. Transported to the Purge of the Rheddig, Frey witnesses the legendary battle that ravaged Athia and led to the madness afflicting the Tantas in the game. Tanta Cinta will accompany Frey on this new adventure, as the DLC introduces new magical abilities and environments.

This expansion aims to provide a fresh experience for players who may have been disappointed with the base game. With new abilities, combat strategies, and vertically-designed environments, the DLC offers a unique opportunity for players to explore Athia’s past and uncover the secrets behind the Tantas’ descent into madness.

The developer of Forspoken, Luminous Productions, will be merged with Square Enix due to the game’s underwhelming performance. Despite this setback, Square Enix is committed to delivering an exciting prequel experience for fans of the Forspoken universe.

In Tanta We Trust will see players battling alongside Tanta Cinta, utilizing Frey’s newfound magical abilities to unlock new combat strategies and coordinate devastating attack combos against the invading Rheddig forces. Furthermore, the expansion will showcase Frey’s magic-enhanced parkour skills, allowing players to scale new heights in the game’s unique, vertically-designed environments.
