On March 17, Valve Corporation filed several trademarks related to CS2 and Counter-Strike, sparking rumors about a new game or update in the franchise. Adding to the intrigue, the official CS:GO Twitter banner was updated, featuring five counter-terrorist figures. Some fans believed this change could be part of a countdown leading to a significant announcement or release. This countdown was implying of a potential March 23 release.

Just yesterday, Valve updated the CS:GO Twitter profile with what appears to be a new logo for the new Counter-Strike game.

Half-Life Alyx’s Anniversary

Notable Valve follower Gabe Follower pointed out on Twitter that if the countdown were to end on March 23rd, it would coincide with the three-year anniversary of Half-Life: Alyx’s release.
