Is CS2 Coming in the next 24/48 hours?

In recent weeks, rumors and speculations have surfaced in the gaming community about the possibility of a new Counter-Strike game or a Source 2 update for CS: GO. Pro players, competitive organizations, and even leakers have referenced the updates, and there have been backend updates on SteamDB.

According to some reports, an update was pushed to the CS:GO main branch, including the CS 2 executable. It could be a massive update requiring significant work before it reaches the same level as CS:GO. The tools, workshop, dedicated servers, and main build would all need to be updated, which would take time and resources.

Most probably, there will be a limited-time beta, similar to Valve’s Artifact, where a key is needed to play the game, and more keys are gradually shared with more players. However, it is unclear if this will happen, or if it will be a widespread activity.

There has been speculation that the release of a new Counter-Strike game or Source 2 update could be imminent, with some reports suggesting that Valve is close to pushing the green button. Some sources have even suggested that the update could be released in the coming 24/48 hours.

Valve has a history of keeping its development plans and release schedules under wraps, so it is difficult to predict when or if a new Counter-Strike game or Source 2 update will be released. It is best to wait for official announcements from Valve before making any conclusions or assumptions about their future plans for the Counter-Strike franchise.
