New Valorant Agent “Gekko” Leaked Ahead of Official Announcement

Valorant fans are buzzing with excitement after an image of the game’s upcoming agent, Gekko, was leaked ahead of an official announcement by Riot Games.

The image, which was posted on Twitter by @ValorLeaks, also known as Mike, has sparked a flurry of speculation and anticipation among the game’s dedicated community. The tweet can be found below:

While not much is known about Gekko at this point, Riot Games’ John Goscicki has teased that the new agent will have their own “eclectic way of dealing with situations,” with “new ways to check corners, reveal locations, and plant the spike.” This suggests that Gekko will bring some unique and exciting gameplay mechanics to Valorant, adding to the already rich and diverse selection of agents available in the game.

Conversely, the official Valorant Twitter profile has shared something slightly different, where what is probably “Gekko”, speaks to Reyna (an already existing agent) over the phone. For a moment, they talk in Spanish, too. Could this mean that they’re related? But what’s even more exciting is that Riot Games has reminded players to watch the VCT LOCK//IN on March 4 (today), where further details about Gekko are expected to surface.

According to reports, Gekko will be released as part of Episode 6, Act 2, which is set to launch on March 7, 2022. It’s unclear whether Riot Games will reveal any additional information about the new agent ahead of the official release, but the leak has certainly generated a lot of excitement and anticipation among Valorant players.

I am ANGE1K. I started playing video games a long time ago. In a blink of an eye, I became a hardcore gamer. A couple of years later, I traversed to the professional Counter-Strike 1.6 scene. After the competitive ERA, I managed to find the gaming industry amusing and started working on FGR. 8 years after founding FGR, my mission remains the same. That is to discover secrets within the gaming industry, create guides for all the games I play, and provide you with some important news. Oh, yeah, I post tons of patch notes too. At the time, I play everything that seems reasonable to play, make content about it and help gamers to the best of my abilities. P.S. Last time I counted how many hours I've spent in video games turned out to be 13+ years. And that was a long time ago too. Almost 24/7 in front of PC.
