Nightdive Studios Obtained By Atari

Nightdive Studios is about to fall into Atari’s hands, as it has been announced that Atari is acquiring Nightdive Studios.

Having finally reached an agreement, the famous studio that is behind statement games like Shadowman and System Shock will be under Atari’s wing after everything is completed. Atari, to acquire Nightdive Studios, has to pay $10 million, where half of the payment will be in cash, while the rest of the amount will be given as shares in Atari. The closing of the agreement is expected to finish in April.

The kick is, if Nightdive Studios marks great performance in the upcoming three years, they will get $10 million plus. Nightdive Studios will bring Atari their KEX engine, which is a great addition to the company. If you are wondering about System Shock 2, the game is still in development and has a scheduled 2023 release.
