System Shock Remake Launch Delayed to May 30th New Features and PC Requirements Unveiled

Prime Matter and Nightdive Studios have announced a delay for the highly anticipated System Shock Remake. Initially slated for release by the end of March, the game is now scheduled to hit the market on May 30th. The delay comes in response to feedback from early backers, suggesting that the additional two months of development will be critical to delivering a polished and enhanced gaming experience.

The System Shock Remake is set to breathe new life into the cult classic, incorporating updated HD visuals, refined controls, a revamped user interface, and an all-new soundtrack. Players can look forward to never-before-seen enemies, quality-of-life gameplay improvements, a reimagined hacking system, and intense new combat options, including a brutal dismemberment feature.

The Remake will challenge players to utilize stealth, cunning, and futuristic weaponry as they navigate through Citadel Station’s redesigned areas. Along the way, they will face a range of traps, puzzles, and hidden secrets while attempting to save Earth from destruction.

Prime Matter has also released the PC system requirements for the System Shock Remake, ensuring players can prepare their gaming rigs ahead of the launch. The minimum and recommended requirements are as follows:

  • OS: Windows 7/8.1/10 (64-bit only)
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-2400/AMD FX-8320 or better
  • Memory: 4 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GTX 670 2GB/AMD Radeon HD 7870 2GB or better
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Storage: 2 GB available space

  • OS: Windows 7/8.1/10 (64-bit only)
  • Processor: Intel Core i7-3770/AMD FX-8350 or better
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GTX 970 4GB/AMD Radeon R9 290 4GB or better

  • Storage: 2 GB available space
