The Cycle: Frontier, the competitive extraction shooter developed by Yager, has launched its latest in-game event, Storm Divers, ahead of the upcoming Season 3 release. From now through March 29, players can become Storm Divers and drop into deadly storms to earn new weapons, gear, and cosmetics.
The event is centered around strange occurrences on Fortuna III, with the frequency of storms on Crescent Falls and Tharis Island having tripled. Players will be tasked with investigating the cause of these events by dropping directly into the storm to gather information.
Players who opt-in to become Storm Divers will receive specialized gear to help them survive the tempest, including a night vision helmet, storm-protecting armor, and helpful mods and consumables. This streamlined access to late-game equipment allows players to experiment with various weapons and gear they may not have had before.
In addition, storms will occur three times more frequently than before, and meteors will crash down throughout the storm, providing dangerous opportunities for great rewards. Players can accumulate wealth and favor more rapidly, accessing high-end gear with meteor fragments from the storm. Each faction has a specific event questline with a unique weapon coating available as a reward, and players can collect up to three cosmetic rewards.
