Split Light Studio and Perp Games have finally confirmed the release date for their spine-tingling first-person horror game, Afterlife VR, on PlayStation VR2. Fans can look forward to immersing themselves in a terrifying world on April 19, 2023, with the game specifically redesigned to take advantage of PSVR2 controls. A new gameplay trailer (embedded above) has also been released, offering a glimpse into the hair-raising experience that awaits players.

Afterlife VR is a deeply immersive horror game. As Adam Bernhard, a young rookie police officer on a night patrol, you receive a call that will change your life forever. Uncover secrets hidden deep within the Black Rose mental hospital walls, where most of the patients pose a great danger.

Initially launched on Steam as an Early Access title in May 2022, Afterlife VR received its full release in September of the same year. The game takes players on a horrifying journey through a psychiatric hospital filled with sinister secrets and unsettling revelations. Players assume the role of Adam Bernhard, a young rookie police officer who receives a life-changing call during a night patrol.

The story unfolds within the walls of the eerie Black Rose mental hospital, where Adam’s sister, Allison, has recently been admitted. As players delve into the dark and mysterious corridors, they must uncover the connection between missing patients, hospital staff, and a groundbreaking study focused on the Indigo Children phenomenon.

I am ANGE1K. I started playing video games a long time ago. In a blink of an eye, I became a hardcore gamer. A couple of years later, I traversed to the professional Counter-Strike 1.6 scene. After the competitive ERA, I managed to find the gaming industry amusing and started working on FGR. 8 years after founding FGR, my mission remains the same. That is to discover secrets within the gaming industry, create guides for all the games I play, and provide you with some important news. Oh, yeah, I post tons of patch notes too. At the time, I play everything that seems reasonable to play, make content about it and help gamers to the best of my abilities. P.S. Last time I counted how many hours I've spent in video games turned out to be 13+ years. And that was a long time ago too. Almost 24/7 in front of PC.
