Diablo 4 Unveils Barbarian Class in Latest Trailer, Promises Exciting Melee Gameplay

With Diablo 4‘s release just around the corner, fans of the iconic action RPG series eagerly anticipate the game’s arrival on June 6th. As part of the pre-launch marketing campaign, Blizzard Entertainment has released a new trailer spotlighting the Barbarian class, showcasing its melee-focused abilities and brutal power. The trailer is embedded at the top of this article.

The latest Diablo 4 trailer highlights several critical abilities of the Barbarian class, including his WW relentless spinning attacks. As a melee combat specialist, the Barbarian excels in close-quarters combat and brings a unique playstyle to the game.

One of the Barbarian’s core mechanics is the Arsenal passive, which enables the character to carry, swap, and assign skills to four weapons. This versatility allows players to adapt their Barbarian to different combat situations, switching between dual swords for Dual Wielding skills, maces for slams, and more. Additionally, the Barbarian offers crowd control immunity to itself and nearby allies.

During the open beta, some players found the Barbarian underwhelming compared to other classes. Blizzard has considered this feedback and plans to make changes before the game’s official launch. The Barbarian will receive a 10% damage reduction passive, while the Whirlwind ability will deal more damage. Furthermore, Double Swing will refund its full resource cost when hitting stunned or knocked down enemies.

I am ANGE1K. I started playing video games a long time ago. In a blink of an eye, I became a hardcore gamer. A couple of years later, I traversed to the professional Counter-Strike 1.6 scene. After the competitive ERA, I managed to find the gaming industry amusing and started working on FGR. 8 years after founding FGR, my mission remains the same. That is to discover secrets within the gaming industry, create guides for all the games I play, and provide you with some important news. Oh, yeah, I post tons of patch notes too. At the time, I play everything that seems reasonable to play, make content about it and help gamers to the best of my abilities. P.S. Last time I counted how many hours I've spent in video games turned out to be 13+ years. And that was a long time ago too. Almost 24/7 in front of PC.
