Get Ready for Dota 2’s Massive Patch 7.33, What To Expect and more

After months of waiting and speculations, we’re finally on the cusp of massive changes to Dota 2, which promises to shake up the meta, introduce new items and mechanics, and potentially even rework the map itself. Here’s a rundown of what we know and what players can expect from this exciting update. As Valve gears up to release its major Patch 7.33 today, we’re lurking around to find out what’s included in it.

As per previous leaks, Patch 7.33 is set to introduce at least two new items, the Echo Sabre-based recipe item, and the Diadem. While their exact functions are unknown, these additions will undoubtedly impact the game’s economy and how players build their heroes.

Moreover, two potential new Neutral Items:

  • Harpoon – resembles a mini Pudge hook, perfect for closing distances and chasing down enemies.
  • Dimensional Doorway – Dimensional Doorway seems to be a late-game item with a longer-range teleportation ability than the Blink Dagger.

Rumors of complete hero reworks have been circulating. Other balance changes include tweaks to armor, mana costs, and more. Although some of these adjustments may seem minor, they could significantly affect hero viability and overall gameplay. Now, how about a hero that generates RAGE and uses it as a resource rather than mana? Does that sound familiar?

With Valve informing pro teams that this patch will be much larger than usual, we can expect significant changes to the professional Dota 2 scene. Teams must adjust their strategies, hero picks, and playstyles to adapt to the new meta. This could lead to exciting shake-ups in the competitive landscape and potentially even dethrone longstanding powerhouse teams.

While there’s still so much we don’t know about Dota 2’s Patch 7.33, what we do know is that it’s set to bring massive changes to the game. This update promises to be one of the most significant in recent memory, from potential map reworks to new items, hero overhauls, and more.
