God of War Ragnarök New Game Plus is now Available

Santa Monica Studio releases New Game Plus mode with new armor sets, level cap, enchantments, and more for God of War Ragnarök.

Santa Monica Studio has announced the release of God of War Ragnarök’s New Game Plus (NG+) mode, offering fans a chance to dive back into the Nine Realms with various new gameplay options. Players who have completed the game can now access an NG+ save, which carries over their equipment, weapons, and skills.

The NG+ mode introduces new equipment, including the Armor of the Black Bear, Spartan Armor, Ares Armor, and Zeus Armor, all available at the Huldra Brothers’ Shop. A new shield, the Spartan Aspis, has also been added, boasting more significant rewards for successful parries.

In addition to new equipment, the NG+ update raises the level cap for both Kratos and enemies, allowing players to convert their Level 9 gear into ‘Plus’ versions that provide further progression. Gilded Coins, awarded from converting equipment, can be used to purchase new Enchantments from the shop.

Players can also expect new progression paths, such as Skill Mod Plus, Platinum Tier Labors, and Additional Stat Gains. The Sparring Arena in Niflheim has been expanded, allowing players to choose from various companion characters to fight alongside.

Endgame bosses, like the Berserker Souls and the Valkyrie Queen Gná, have been updated with new moves to keep the fights challenging, even for experienced players. On Give Me No Mercy and Give Me God of War difficulties, bosses and mini-bosses now have Runic Armor, adding an extra layer of challenge.

After completing the game, the NG+ mode also introduces a Black and White Render Mode for a more cinematic experience. With so many exciting updates, fans of God of War Ragnarök will surely find plenty to explore and enjoy in the New Game Plus mode.

I am ANGE1K. I started playing video games a long time ago. In a blink of an eye, I became a hardcore gamer. A couple of years later, I traversed to the professional Counter-Strike 1.6 scene. After the competitive ERA, I managed to find the gaming industry amusing and started working on FGR. 8 years after founding FGR, my mission remains the same. That is to discover secrets within the gaming industry, create guides for all the games I play, and provide you with some important news. Oh, yeah, I post tons of patch notes too. At the time, I play everything that seems reasonable to play, make content about it and help gamers to the best of my abilities. P.S. Last time I counted how many hours I've spent in video games turned out to be 13+ years. And that was a long time ago too. Almost 24/7 in front of PC.
