The largest content update yet for the hardcore looter shooter Marauders, titled “United Allies,” is set to arrive on Steam tomorrow, April 25th. The update is brought to you by the collaborative efforts of Team17 Digital and Small Impact Games and promises to expand the game with new features, equipment, and a brand-new faction for players to face.
The United Allies update invites players to explore and loot a massive colony cruiser filled with fresh challenges and rewards. This new addition to the game will provide players with a fresh and immersive experience as they delve deeper into the lore of Marauders.
Players can battle the new “United Allies” faction, a formidable force composed of heavily armed space-navy Marine operators from the game’s fictional western alliance. As players defeat United Allies conscripts, they’ll be able to increase their kill count and loot exclusive new equipment, such as unique cosmetics, Sherman plate armour, and powerful personal explosives like hand grenades and the devastating “China Lake” grenade launcher.
The United Allies update also delivers a wide range of community-requested features, including 14 new ships for players to acquire through in-game ship vendors or by seizing them during battle (more than triple the amount currently available). Additionally, the update introduces the “Wreckage” resource, which allows players to salvage materials in-flight via ship airlocks.
Other features include deadly explosive barrels, convenient in-raid vendors for purchasing resources, and proximity voice chat, which enables players to strategize with their squad and taunt their adversaries.
