Pokemon Go Global Community Manager Receives Death Threat over Remote Raids Changes

Trainers, the Pokemon Go Global Community Manager Tyler receives as he called his first death threats.

Niantic and Pokemon Go are making changes to Remote Raids, and the community is not very happy about it. Well, we are not happy at all, but making life threats to someone is even worse.

Tyler explained on his official Twitter account that that’s his account, but not an official line of communication from Niantic. He also said to be constrictive and not to make any life threats.

Pokemon Go players expressed their concerns and we all agreed on how absurd this is. Tyler accepted all the kind messages and confirmed he is safe and sound.

We are better than this. If we want to change something, there are better ways to do it. We are the #1 community in the world and this is not acceptable at all.

  1. This guy doesn’t think that handicapped players have a right to play. If this game is so inclusive why not let them play? Some of them that’s the only way they can play at least without the help of others. Niantic is such a greedy outfit a billion dollars a year is not enough for them. Instead of making it easier and affordable for players to play more he jacks the price of everything. GREEDY. How can kids afford to play this game. GREEDY. How are handicapped people able to pay and play? GREEDY. Rural players how are they able to play more?, by making it harder? Rot in h*** Niantic keep rocking one of the seven deadly sins. GREED

    1. You are 1000% right! And as a woman who lives in a kind of rough city, in person raids aren’t always safe for me. Rural, city, able bodied, or fixed income, these changes hurt players. I don’t want to delete my game. But I think I have to, is there anyway to show my displeasure without losing all progress?

    2. You do realize the game was started without remote raid passes for the first nearly 4 years of the game.

They won’t let me post this, figures.

  3. I’m fine with them doing this. I was spending $40-$60+ a month on this game. But now I won’t be spending any. And I truly am glad, I was starting to feel ashamed of how much I spend on this ridiculous mobile game, but with these new ups in cost, I wouldn’t dare. Thank you Niantic. I get why you did the update. It wasn’t meant to be a sit at home “farming legendaries” game. It was meant to be a community outdoors game. Unfortunately, my community is too small for that, but still. I am glad of these changes.

  4. If he really received death threats he should post them for proof. Otherwise he’s playing victim to distract from valid criticism.
