VALORANT’s Premier Global Open Beta: How to Play, Eligibility, and More

VALORANT’s Premier Global Open Beta is set to launch on April 25, bringing a whole new level of competitive gaming for players worldwide. Riot Games has provided an extensive FAQ to help players and teams prepare for the event, emphasizing the accessibility of the game for all players. We have previously stated how excited we are about this addition and how it will propel the competitive scene further. I do believe there are thousands of Valorant players with exceptional skills that many people haven’t heard of, and this will be their gateway to success.

Accessible for everyone!

To make the Premier Beta as inclusive as possible, any player with a Valorant account in good standing can participate, provided they meet two conditions: identity verification through SMS and completion of placements at any point in their account lifetime. By setting a low barrier to entry, Valorant ensures that a wide range of players can join in on the fun.

Players can join a team with friends of any skill level. While teams will be placed in divisions based on the MMR of their top 5 players, there are no restrictions on team composition during enrollment. This flexibility allows players to enjoy the game with their friends, regardless of their individual ranks.

During the enrollment process, team owners can select a zone based on recommendations provided by the game, which takes into account the lowest average latency for the top 2 pods. This ensures that players from different regions can enjoy a smooth gaming experience.

Teams have the ability to make changes to their rosters within certain limitations, allowing them to adapt and grow throughout the competition. Teams can also un-enroll and re-enroll if they wish to change zones or make other adjustments before the cutoff time.

Accessing and Playing Premier

Upon launch, players will find Premier featured on a full-screen takeover. Additionally, the homepage navigation will include Premier as an entry point under the “Play” option.

Players can queue for their weekly matches through the Premier Hub, where they will find a button that takes them directly to the Premier lobby. By participating in these matches, teams can accumulate points towards their Premier Score, determining their qualification for the Playoff Tournament at the end of the Open Beta.

After completing their first Premier match, players will unlock a Premier Beta participation banner and title by logging in the next day. Teams that win the Playoff Tournament will unlock a Premier Beta Champions banner and title.

I am ANGE1K. I started playing video games a long time ago. In a blink of an eye, I became a hardcore gamer. A couple of years later, I traversed to the professional Counter-Strike 1.6 scene. After the competitive ERA, I managed to find the gaming industry amusing and started working on FGR. 8 years after founding FGR, my mission remains the same. That is to discover secrets within the gaming industry, create guides for all the games I play, and provide you with some important news. Oh, yeah, I post tons of patch notes too. At the time, I play everything that seems reasonable to play, make content about it and help gamers to the best of my abilities. P.S. Last time I counted how many hours I've spent in video games turned out to be 13+ years. And that was a long time ago too. Almost 24/7 in front of PC.
