Battlefield 2042 Will Get Squad Management and Orders in Season 5

EA has announced that Squad Management will be introduced in Battlefield 2042‘s upcoming Season 5. The new feature aims to provide a smoother, more streamlined experience for squad-based gameplay, as well as foster a greater sense of community and teamwork among players.

Squad Management aims to provide an easy way for players to view and manage their team’s squads. The new system will allow players to create or join a party of their choice, see which squads their friends are in, and easily navigate through them.

A new Squad Menu will provide a comprehensive overview of all squads on a player’s team. Here, players can assign squad leaders, view how many players or friends are in a squad, and see class icons to better understand a squad’s composition before joining. The menu allows squad leaders to display their Player Card Tag as the squad icon.

Later in Season 5, DICE plans to introduce Squad Orders. This new functionality aims to provide squad leaders a clear role and incentivize players to follow their orders.

With Squad Orders, leaders can ping objectives to attack or defend, and squadmates can confirm the order. Successful completion of orders will yield additional XP for the entire squad. Individual players can also earn bonus XP for their contributions to either attack or defend objectives while a Squad Order is active. The more a player contributes, the more XP they make, encouraging a true “Play The Objective” approach.

I am ANGE1K. I started playing video games a long time ago. In a blink of an eye, I became a hardcore gamer. A couple of years later, I traversed to the professional Counter-Strike 1.6 scene. After the competitive ERA, I managed to find the gaming industry amusing and started working on FGR. 8 years after founding FGR, my mission remains the same. That is to discover secrets within the gaming industry, create guides for all the games I play, and provide you with some important news. Oh, yeah, I post tons of patch notes too. At the time, I play everything that seems reasonable to play, make content about it and help gamers to the best of my abilities. P.S. Last time I counted how many hours I've spent in video games turned out to be 13+ years. And that was a long time ago too. Almost 24/7 in front of PC.
