BioWare Schedules Server Maintenance for SWTOR to Address Log-in Issues

BioWare has recently announced that it is taking steps to rectify a recurring log-in issue affecting Star Wars: The Old Republic players. The issue is currently under active investigation and has impacted multiple servers, including Star Forge, Satele Shan, and Darth Malgus.

In a recent forum post, they announced that they are implementing additional tools in their backend systems to enhance reporting and tracking capabilities, which should aid the ongoing investigation.

In order to implement these tools and perform necessary checks, BioWare will be scheduling server downtime on Tuesday, May 16th, commencing at 8 am CT, 1 PM UTC. The maintenance is estimated to last approximately two hours, during which all servers will be impacted.

Hi everyone,

We are still investigating what is causing the log in issues for our servers. This still remains a high priority for our team to resolve, and we wanted to let you know the next steps we are taking. We will be adding more tools on the backend to improve our reporting and tracking to further our investigation. In order for this to happen, we will be scheduling server downtime for tomorrow. This will impact all servers as we have seen this issue occur with Star Forge, Satele Shan, and most recently Darth Malgus.

Players should expect a maintenance window on Tuesday, May 16th from 8am CT / 1pm UTC. Estimated down time is 2 hours. Please keep an eye on our social channels/forums for updates should this timeline change.

It should also be noted that there is a possibility that the servers may continue to keep players from connecting to the server at unexpected times, however, we have seen that players were able to connect to other servers when one is impacted.

I will continue to update this thread with further information when I have it.

Thank you for your continued patience as we investigate this issue.
