Deleting Peridot Account May Result in Deleting Your Pokemon Go Account

Trainers, Peridot is a new AR real-world pet game developed by Niantic. The game is available on iOS and Android.

Peridot was released worldwide on May 9, 2023, and some Pokemon Go fans have already tested it. Well, some had fun, while some lost their Pokemon Go accounts and can’t sign in. It turns out that deleting the Peridot account may also lead to deleting your Pokemon Go account.

This has happened to Crystal, a Team Valor Lvl 50 Pokemon Go player. Crystal is all about Pokemon Go, so losing the account would have been devastating.

Crystal’s tweet reached out to Niantic, who later recovered Crystal’s account.

It looks like your Niantic ID links the two games, and this is done automatically. Many players report that whenever they added friends to the new mobile game, the same players/friends are getting added to Pokemon Go.
