Trainers, Niantic and Pokemon Go announced the next Team inspired event, and this time you will have a chance to participate in a Team Valor-themed event A Valorous Hero.
A Valorous Hero is a new, upcoming event in Pokemon Go that focuses on powering up and battling Pokemon. Pokemon Go players will be able to battle and catch Mega Pinsir and Shiny Mega Pinsir from Mega Raids for the first time and complete the Special Research story for Candela Ponyta.
Pokemon Go players can also enjoy the event-exclusive bonuses, and battle different Pokemon in one, three, and five-star Raids.

A Valorous Hero Pokemon Go
- Date and time: May 11, 2023, at 10 AM, to May 17, 2023, at 8 PM local time
- Mega Pinsir debut. Mega Pinsir can be shiny
- Event bonuses: 2x Catch Candy, and level 31+ players can earn 2x Catch Candy XL
- Husuian Growlithe, Galarian Ponyta, and Hoohoot in one-star Raids
- Galarian Stunfisk, Drudiggon, Hisuian Braviary, and Hisuian Avalugg in three-star Raids
- Tapu Fini in five-star Raids, shiny available
- Mega Pinsir in Mega Raids, shiny available
- Special Research: Complete the A Valorous Hero Special Research to encounter Candela Ponyta, shiny available
- Timed Research: A new Timed Research that rewards Fast TM and Charged TM will be available
- New Field Research tasks: Complete the new Field Research tasks to earn Stardust, Revives, Jyper Potions, and encounter with Ponyta
