Pokemon Go Player Gets 11 Shards from a Shadow Raid

Trainers, collecting Shadow Shards is essential for defeating enrage Shadow Pokemon. These Shadow Shards are mysterious gem pieces, a guaranteed drop, that can be used on Professor Willow’s Shard Refiner to get Purified Gem and lower the attack and defense of the enraged Shadow Pokemon.
The Pokemon Go Shadow Raids are the latest addition to the game. There are a few steps we need to follow to have fun while battling in Shadow Raids. The first step is to battle and defeat Shadow Pokemon from Shadow Raids and Shadow Pokemon from Team Go Rocket lineups. Defeating the Shadow Pokemon will get you Shadow shards, which are crucial to beat an enraged Shadow Pokemon.
You can use a new item that can subdue Shadow Raid Bosses called Purified Gem.
To get the Purified Gem, you must collect Shadow Shards. These Shadow Shards are mysterious gem pieces that drop, reports say it’s a guaranteed drop, by defeating Shadow Pokemon from Shadow Raids and Shadow Pokemon from Team Go Rocket Stops and Balloons; Grunts, Arlo, Cliff, Sierra, and Giovanni.
Now, you must collect these Shadow Shards and then use them on Professor Willow’s Shard Refiner to get a Purified Gem to lower the attacks and defense of the enraged Shadow Pokemon. If you and your Pokemon Go Friends use more than one Purified Gem at the same time, the effect will stack.
Previously, we reported how many Shadow Shards one can get when completing a Shadow Raid, but it looks like we have a new record, and that’s eleven shards.
A Pokemon Go player who goes by Cicatrix1982 on TSR successfully defeated a Shadow Sneaseal from Shadow Raids and received 11 shards as a reward. Previously players reported getting 1, 3, 5, and 7 shards from Shadow Raids.

How many shards did you get from completing a Shadow Raid? The most we got was seven.
How do you use the purified gem?
If you have a Purified Gem in your bag, a button will appear on the bottom left of your screen after the Shadow Pokemon has become enraged. Tap the button to use a Purified Gem, which will help to subdue the Shadow Raid Boss and return it to its non-Enraged state.
