Pokemon Go Players Pay Others to Reach Legend in Go Battle League, PokeAK Cash Prize for Absolute Evidence

Trainers, some Pokemon Go players are paying other players to reach Legend in GBL. We decided to dig a little bit deeper and discovered a whole new world of Pokemon Go.

Here, in this entirely new world, we discovered a lot of stuff. Players are paying to get Legend in the GBL, to get specific poses and clothes, to get Shiny Libre Pikachu, and to reach level 50, but we don’t get one thing. Hitting Legend in Pokemon Go GBL is not that hard it’s just grinding.

Ranks 21, 22, 23, and 24 are what I like to call the bragging ranks. Each Rank has its title. Each Rank/title has a different rating. To reach Legend your ratings must be 3,000.

  • Rank 21: Ace 2,000
  • Rank 22: Veteran 2,500
  • Rank 23: Expert 2,750
  • Rank 24: Legend 3,000

Pikachu Libre is a guaranteed Pokemon encounter in Legend Rank. Libre Pikachu can be shiny. Also, reaching Legend Rank will get you the Palmer Pose and other cool stuff exclusive to that season.

Pokemon Go players make a living getting paid by other Pokemon Go players to reach a specific goal. A player says that he got $600 to reach Legend. However, others say they got banned for a month after someone reported them.

PokeAK has a really good take on this, and it looks like he is on to something. He explains that he knows who charges players to reach a specific goal, but doesn’t have the evidence he needs to present on a video. He also says to be careful, because there are a lot of frauds, so you don’t want to get nothing in return. It seems like PokeAK wants to expose the players who are charging for such a service, and he asks players to come forward with all the evidence so he can expose those who charge for a specific service.

What is your take on this? We would like to hear from you, so please leave a comment below.

  1. I don’t see why anyone would be upset about this. It’s a very basic transaction. It’s no different than paying someone to do construction on your house. You pay someone who can because you can’t or don’t want to.

  2. Honestly, who cares? If people want to throw away their money on fake achievements, be my guest. One point though. It IS hard to reach Legend, and it’s not just a matter of grinding and putting in the time. Lots of people try every season and creep up just to slide back down via frustrating losing streaks. THAT’S why they pay. Yeah, it’s probably against Niantic ToS, but they haven’t exactly earned any loyalty lately. So screw em.

    1. I’m on your side on the „screw Niantic“ part, however I can confirm that putting in the time pays off and can get you to legend. Took me 4 seasons to hit expert, but after that I was hitting legend on a regular basis. And I deliberately used the term was, because I uninstalled the game exactly 2 months ago. Would have hit legend this season as well, as I was above 2500 points in less than 3 weeks. I’m still salty about Niantic‘s decision making, so „screw“ them x 2. Whoever is willing to pay for such service, I don’t see any problem with that

  3. I was in a Discord run by a guy who would charge for all kinds of services on your Pokémon go account. He made some serious money. By the end of it, he was very paranoid and power-hungry, acting like he was a Demi-God, and eventually he actually killed his sister and was put in jail. Haven’t followed up since.

  4. It is definitely not easy to reach legend and much more than grinding, whoever wrote this clearly never played the game

    1. Sadly, pokey AK is a YouTuber that plays Pokémon go, but in my opinion, he’s way off base doing this, and I told him that because he’s offering to pay people for evidence which can be manipulated. I told him to mind his own business because everybody’s cheating, even if you’re using just a gold plus that’s cheating if you got multiple accounts are cheating who gives a sh*t

  5. Poke AK is such a cringe YouTuber, and how he “wants to expose” this adds to his weirdo vibes. Who cares? And if it is such a big deal, Niantic will handle it… Maybe? But reaching a rank is grind it yourself, or if not, pay someone to. Hardly an advantage. Poke AK for sure a weirdo and most cringe YouTuber. Had to tell YouTube to not recommend his channels anymore, his voice alone is worse than nails on a chalkboard

  6. Why are we giving this blowhard any extra attention? He caters to the lowest common denominator, with clickbait titles and nothing but excuses for poor play.
