Pokemon Go Raid Hours, Spotlight Hours And Research Breakthrough Encounters May 2023

It is already time for a new wave of our favorite events, Raid Hours and Spotlight Hours.

The events known as Raid Hour are the events where Trainers go up against one Legendary Pokemon for one hour on a Wednesday, and usually, in a month there are several Raid Hour Bosses. This time, in May 2023, the Pokemon that we will be seeing on a Raid Hour event are the following:

  • Genesect (Shock Drive) – May 3rd, 2023.
  • Tapu Fini – May 10th, 2023; May 17th, 2023.
  • Regigigas – May 24th, 2023; May 31st, 2023.

Each one of these Pokemon will have its Shiny form available for an encounter.

The next fan-favorite event in Pokemon Go is Spotlight Hour. Happening exclusively on a Tuesday of the month, this event has a duration of one hour (from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time) and during this hour, Trainers have the chance to catch the featured Pokemon as many times as they see it on the map. Followed with some bonuses, Trainers can get an encounter with the featured Pokemon’s Shiny form, as well as a chance to stack up with candies for future evolutions and power-ups.

Here is the schedule for Spotlight Hour in May 2023:

  • Alolan Geodude – May 2nd, 2023, the featured bonus is 2x XP for catching Pokemon.
