Pokemon Go Removes Base Catch Rate and Base Flee Rate, Color of Catch Circle Hidden

Trainers, Niantic and Pokemon Go don’t want us to know the catch and flee rates of Pokemon, so they removed the Base Catch Rate and Base Flee Rate for all Pokemon.

It was reported by the well-known Pokeminers that Niantic has removed the Base Capture Rate and the Base Flee Rate for every Pokemon in Pokemon Go. This means that whenever Niantic makes a mistake in catch rates, or anything else, we will never, ever know, because they have now covered everything.

That said, without the Base Catch Rate, the color of the catch circle is hidden too.

BCR/BFR will now be like Shiny rates, where we will need tons of research to find out a Pokemon’s rates.

  1. Isn’t this like the whole legal issue they had with Gacha Rates? Niantic could be looking at a lawsuit…

  2. maybe a glitch? temporary? i mean… what’s the point in having different ball types if there’s no way to tell how strong your catch is? if I’m saying that correctly?

  3. Jesus christ Niantic keeps gauging essential functions and jumping prices like crazy. We used to enjoy playing it ALWAYS. Now it just feels like another great game that was ruined by the company.. bring back the BETTER GO
